‘Wrestle Her’ Docuseries Trailer Released

For the past three years, Lutheran West Women’s Wrestling has been one of the programs featured in a yet-to-be-released docuseries entitled ‘Wrestle Her.’

The film follows the quickly growing sport of women’s high school wrestling, in particular the path to getting the sport sanctioned by state athletic boards.

Featured in the series are Lutheran West female wrestlers and Coach Dave Ressler ’86, who has been one of the strongest proponents of getting women’s wrestling sanctioned by the Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA). Two of the athletes featured in the series are Lutheran West alumnae Allyssa Pirro ’21 (now wrestling at Indiana Tech) and Catie Kerr ’23 (attending Kent State).

This project is spearheaded by Lutheran West alumnus Ryan Kelly ’97, who is the Co-Founder and Head of Production at Cleveland-based film studio and production company TRG Sound & Vision.

The projected release date for the docuseries is Thanksgiving 2024.
