CUYAHOGA HEIGHTS --  Coming into the game off a win at Wellington, the Lutheran West women’s basketball team lost to Cuyahoga Heights with a score of 56-31.

Cuyahoga Heights was a team who could shoot outside shots and the Longhorns could not seem to stop them. They had many three point shooters, giving them a great advantage at the three point line.

Due to a lack of communication, the Longhorns got stuck under screens set by Cuyahoga Heights which made it hard for them to defend their girls and the shots that were taken outside.

At halftime the Longhorns trailed Cuyahoga Heights 29-10.

LW came out in the second half and played much better defense and picked up the effort as well. Finally they settled down and the Longhorns began to set up plays and run them correctly giving them some more looks at the basket. It wasn't enough for the Longhorns though. Cuyahoga Heights pulled out the win, putting the Longhorns at 2-1 for the season.
