KEYSTONE -- 
The Lutheran West Women’s Basketball program took a big step forward Saturday, knocking off perennial conference powerhouse Keystone on the Wildcat’s home floor by 19 points, 55-36. Senior Lindsay Thomas led all scorers with 17 points on 7 of 10 shooting. Junior Carey Smith added 11 points.
Lutheran West, who led by five at half pulled away in the third quarter, outscoring the Wildcats 16-7. 
Senior point guard Lindsey Tomola had ten assists to go with three steals, seven points, and five rebounds. Senior Ari Tomasula led the team with eleven rebounds. Senior Amanda Stevens had nine.
Lutheran West picked up 17 offensive rebounds in the game.
Lutheran West evens its record at 1-1 on the young season. They host Cuyahoga Heights on Monday and Firelands on Wednesday of next week.
