ROCKY RIVER -- 
The Longhorns came into their game against conference rival Black River with a lot of confidence after winning three straight games. West started off strong with their posts getting good looks in the paint. Lutheran West knew they had to shut down Jessica Chidsey, who was Black River’s leading scorer with 23 points.

The Lady Longhorns kept feeding the posts and it paid off with junior Amanda Stephens scoring 14 points. Outscoring Black River every quarter, Lutheran West kept the lead the whole game and never slowed down. With tough defense and good team basketball, the Longhorns found something that was missing for them the past few games.

The Lady Longhorns beat Black River 60-38 as they remained undefeated in 2012. The leading scorer for West was junior Lindsay Thomas with 20 points.
