ROCKY RIVER --  The Longhorns’ Boys Basketball Team lost in a close game against Firelands. The defining moments of the game came late in the fourth quarter. Junior Greg Kunze stole the ball and fed it to senior Chris Ranc to take the lead. When LW gave a turnover with 20.9 seconds left, it opened the door for the Falcons’ Joe Hyster to score for the win with 7.1 seconds left.

In the first quarter alone, the Longhorns committed ten turnovers. They were able to clean-up their play as the game went on, only committing six for the remainder of the match-up. In the end it was the late turnover that led to their late defeat. The team has struggled playing cleanly and will need to improve on their execution if they want to win games like the one played against the Falcons.

In the loss, the Longhorns were led by Kunze who had 10 points.
