ROCKY RIVER --  The Lutheran West Men’s Basketball Team dropped their third game in a row to the visiting Lancers from Gilmour Academy by a score of 67-46.

Right from the get-go, the Longhorns struggled to score. West had trouble finding their rhythm and putting the basketball into the hoop. Their highest scoring quarter was the first quarter, in which they garnered 14 points, after which the scoring tapered down. In addition, not one Longhorn was able to score double-digits; the closest was senior Dan Hillenbrand with nine points.

On the other hand, the Lancers shot consistently and well, as they have for most of their season. They were able to spread the ball around and catch the Longhorns by running this steady offense. Gilmour played strong throughout the entire game and was able to finish tough, pulling away with a 20-point lead with 4:00 left in the game, improving to 10-3.

With the loss, the Longhorns fall to 4-7 overall and are 3-4 in PAC-12 action. Lutheran West looks to snap this streak with a home game on Friday versus fellow Stripes Division member Oberlin.
