Coach Trey Lamb

Trey Lamb graduated from Marietta College in 2002 with a Bachelor’s of Art Degree, and he works as a pitching instructor at Up-To-Bat West in Brookpark.

Lamb attended LW and graduated in 1998.  He led the Longhorn Baseball team to Regionals in 1996--it's only appearance in the Sweet 16 to this day--where he threw a no-hitter, but got stuck with the loss thanks to a pair of errors in the fifth inning.  Lamb was named Conference MVP two times, and he holds the records for most innings pitched, wins, and strikeouts.

While attending Marietta, Lamb made it to the Division III College World Series twice, and learned the game under head coach Don Schaly, who won 1442 games in 42 seasons. In addition, Lamb led the NCAA with a 1.11 ERA in 2001.

After three years as the head coach of the JV team, Lamb took over as the varsity head coach in 2011. His philosophy can be summed up in five words:  “offensively aggressive and defensively prepared.”  His favorite part about coaching at Lutheran West is “working with young people who love the game of baseball and exhibit character on and off the field.”
